My new obsession would have to be these Prada shoes from their Spring/Summer collection. The Prada Runway Kiltie Golf Shoes designed by Miuccia Prada and inspired by the past time sport….you guessed it, golf. These shoes range in various colors and styles and would fit any person’s style. Miuccia Prada led the company’s expansion into distinctive clothing that quickly became a favorite among celebrities worldwide. Currently, Prada is one of the most influential clothing lines in the fashion industry, with an iconic collection that includes sunglasses, handbags, and shoes in addition to men’s and women’s clothing. Statement shoes are the new logo - you can spot them a mile off and no one does them better than Prada. I love its luxe take on golf footwear. You can now catch Vogue alongside other fashion magazines in their “digital form” these days. iPad has become one the hottest accessories of the fashion world. From the models, to make up artists, to the fashion moguls themselves, you can catch any of them cradling an iPad. Apple has definitely opened a new door in fashion. The possibilities truly seem endless. Whether you are scrolling through the latest issue of your favorite fashion magazine or checking out the most recent post on your favorite fashion blog, iPad brings it to your fingertips. And most designers have gotten into the Apple frenzy and are creating iPad, iPhone, and iPod accessories. Hopefully I can get my hands on a Valentino iPad case (hint, hint). See some pictures of the iPad making its mark in fashion below.

This at 4 A.M.?

So I must have been really tired or just plan out of it last night or should I say this morning. I found myself watching Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky at 4 A.M. This wasn’t the crazy part though. The crazy thing about it was that the movie was on Starz in French! Now I speak no French besides “how are you” and “hello”, but other than that I speak no French. So it was beyond me why I continued to watch this entire movie to the end. Wow…the things we do at 4 A.M. Watch a trailer for the movie below.

FRANCA SOZZANI RECEIVES LÉGION D’HONNEUR

Yesterday was a good day in Paris. All of Europe’s major designers converged on the Italian embassy yesterday to raise their glasses in honor of Vogue Italia Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani. Among some of the guests included, Haider Ackermann, Karl Lagerfeld, and even Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, who are actually on the prowl for prime real estate in Paris to open the doors to a new Viktor and Rolf store in early 2013. Sozzani has held the reigns of Vogue Italia since 1987 and shows no signs of slowing down. Before the lucheon, Condé Nast International chairman, Jonathan Newhouse anointed Sozzani the “pope of fashion” (what do you guys think?). Later of that night more designers and friends emerged to watch the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy pin the medallion on Sozzani’s black and gold Dolce & Gabbana dress. Congrats Franca!

Top fashion bloggers, Ingrid Go, Daphne Osena-Paez, and Bryan Boy grace the cover of the March 2012 issue of Spark magazine. I really admire these three because they made their own way to the top using a computer and a lot of determination. Its always inspirational to see that it is possible to make it from humble beginnings. These are definitely three bloggers to keep your eye on. So if you happen to be in the Philippines any time soon, make sure you grab a copy of Spark magazine. KARL LAGERFELD GROCERY SHOPPING?

Of course not! But it is nice to imagine what the fashion icon would look like doing every day “normal people” activities. And that is just what this new issue of French Elle is giving us. Of course only Karl Lagerfeld would be dressed to the tee with his signature sunglasses and white hair just to go grocery shopping, but hey that’s fashion for you. In this issue of French Elle, Lagerfeld is photographed eyeing up the stain removers in the laundry aisle, intensely irriate behind the wheel in a traffic jam, and poring over the daily L’Equipe. This spread in French Elle showcases the couturier’s masstige fashion line Karl. Throughout the transcendent eight-page feature, you will catch the beautiful Saskia de Brauw and Caroline Brasch Nielsen sporting the rock-influenced threads. In the interview that is included with this feature, Lagerfeld gasps at the mass selection of junk food at grocers: “It’s the first time I’ve stepped into a supermarket. It’s crazy — fascinating what one can buy. There’s enough here to easily gain 20 kilos.” In his interview he also let’s us know why its better, and safer, that he has a chauffeur instead of driving himself. “I haven’t driven since I was 18,” he recalls, “and that’s a benefit to society because I ended up in a ditch, without knowing why!” This issue of French Elle hits newstands next Friday.
